EasyJet Opens Newcastle Base and Marks Launch With Greggs Sausage Rolls Onboard Today

  • The base is easyJet’s 11th in the UK, launching with roughly 800,000 summer seats and following recent openings in Birmingham and Southend.
  • EasyJet is operating three aircraft from Newcastle, offering an 85% increase in weekly flights versus last summer and supporting about 1,200 regional jobs, including around 140 direct roles.
  • New services taking off from today add connectivity across Europe and North Africa, with routes such as Lisbon, Rome, Antalya, Dalaman, Enfidha, Malta, Nice, Prague, Rhodes and Tenerife.
