Overview
- Early in-person voting runs June 8–12 across Georgia with Election Day scheduled for Tuesday, June 16 when multiple primary runoffs will be decided.
- The most prominent contests are the Republican governor runoff between Burt Jones and Rick Jackson and a GOP U.S. Senate runoff that will produce Jon Ossoff’s November opponent.
- Absentee ballot requests for the runoffs had to be submitted by June 5 so voters who missed that deadline must use early in-person voting or vote at their assigned precinct on June 16.
- Voters must show an accepted photo ID to cast a ballot and on Election Day polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at each voter’s assigned precinct.
- Campaigns and endorsements are concentrating on turnout because Georgia runoffs historically draw lower participation and small shifts in who votes can change November matchups.
