Overview
- EA and Xbox rolled out a 10-hour early-access trial for Madden NFL 27 that became available to eligible members starting August 6, letting players test the game before the full release.
- The trial is playable via Xbox Cloud Gaming, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and is also available on PlayStation and PC for EA Play members.
- Access is staggered by tier so MVP+ subscribers had the earliest window, Deluxe/MVP Edition owners and EA Play members gain earlier entry around August 10, and the standard edition launches August 13.
- Progress from the trial carries over to the purchased game and EA Play members receive incentives such as a Welcome Pack, an August MUT pack, and a 10% discount on EA digital purchases to encourage conversion.
- Madden NFL 27 centers on the new Persona Engine that gives each NFL athlete distinct motivations and behaviors and the trial is positioned to showcase those gameplay and presentation changes ahead of the full release.
