Overview
- A school bus carrying Midvale Elementary students collided with a dump truck on Highway 14 in Madison, sending five children to UW Hospital with minor injuries.
- Two other children were evaluated by Monona Fire Department paramedics and released to school reunification.
- Madison police said the bus was turning from the eastbound Beltline onto South Park Street when a southbound dump truck hit it.
- Officers cited the 77-year-old truck driver for running a red light.
- Both directions of Highway 14 were closed for more than an hour just south of the Beltline, and WisDOT reported the scene was cleared by 4:23 p.m.
