- By 4 p.m. Thursday Duke Energy reported it had restored 222,653 outages and that about 38,861 customers remained without power across its Ohio and Kentucky service areas.
- The outages were caused by major storms on Tuesday and Wednesday that produced more than 261,000 customer outages across Greater Cincinnati.
- Duke Energy mobilized over 2,000 lineworkers, tree trimmers and support personnel, including mutual aid crews from Indiana and the Carolinas, to speed restorations.
- The company began showing estimated restoration times on its Outage Map starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday and says most customers who can safely receive service will be restored Thursday.
- Crews continue damage assessments and complex repairs to broken poles, transformers and downed lines, the Duke Energy Foundation committed $100,000 in relief grants, and customers are urged to avoid downed lines and follow outage alerts and the outage map for updates.
