Dubai Turns DXB Terminal 3 Into Air‑Conditioned Mallathon Walking Track

The move widens access to the summer fitness drive for airport staff, travellers and People of Determination as part of Dubai's Quality of Life Strategy 2033.

Overview

  • The inaugural airport sessions, held on 7 August, converted part of Terminal 3 Departures into an indoor walking route and ran two morning walks for employees and community participants.
  • Dubai Airports will host further Mallathon sessions at Terminal 3 every Friday in August with a final DXB event on 28 August to mark Emirati Women’s Day.
  • Organisers say the airport rollout is the first non-mall venue for the citywide programme and is designed to fit around shift patterns and daily routines for staff.
  • The DXB activation is free to join with multiple session times and route options available for different fitness levels and no prior registration required.
  • The expansion builds on 2025’s Mallathon results — more than 40,000 participants, about 120 million steps and a Guinness World Record — and aims to fold workplaces and transport hubs into Dubai’s long-term wellbeing strategy.
