Overview
- The daytime tribute will take place in the Black Forest Inn parking lot on 26th and Nicollet (Eat Street), near the Alex Pretti memorial, before the band’s ticketed show at St. Paul’s Palace Theatre that evening.
- Local artists slated to perform include Wild Colonial Bhoys, DJ Jacques, Kiss the Tiger, Sophie Hiroko, Chutes, Laamar, Obi Original, The Shackletons, Danza Ketzal, and Brass Solidarity.
- A free global livestream will be produced by Valor Media and the Save America Movement at AbolishICE.live, with Meidas Touch also carrying the broadcast.
- Fundraising from the event will support Neighbors Helping Neighbors, Show Up for Eat Street, the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, the South Minneapolis Families Fund, and Rent Support for Bancroft Families.
- The memorial follows the killings of Alex Pretti and Renée Good during federal immigration operations, as a federal civil-rights probe proceeds, Minnesota’s BCA and Hennepin County seek evidence the FBI has withheld, and ProPublica reporting names Jesus Ochoa and Raymundo Gutierrez as officers linked to the Pretti shooting.
