- Abbey Ridgway admitted causing death by careless driving and was given a two-year driving ban, a 12-month community order and 200 hours of unpaid work.
- The crash on July 24, 2025 happened when Ridgway pulled out from a junction on the A4 Bath Road into a Scania tipper lorry, killing 19-year-old Rosa Taylor.
- Front-seat passenger Aaron Ormesher sustained life-changing injuries, including a brain injury, while Taylor, who was in the back seat without a seatbelt, died at the scene.
- While Ridgway and Ormesher were being treated at Southmead Hospital in Bristol, a crew for the TV series Emergency 24/7 filmed them, which Taylor’s family say they learned about nine months later.
