Driver Charged With Attempted Murder After Car Hits Five on Ealing Broadway

Police have charged a 34-year-old man who is remanded in custody as forensic inquiries continue and officers appeal for witness footage.

  • The driver was stopped a short time later in nearby Grange Park and identified as 34-year-old Timir Ahmed Mohamed, who has been charged with five counts of attempted murder and related driving and procedural offences.
  • Mohamed was remanded in custody after a magistrates’ appearance and is due for further court listing as police carry out forensic follow-up and seek video and witness accounts under reference 4607/27JUN.
  • Counter Terrorism Policing London conducted initial checks as a precaution but the Metropolitan Police say the incident is not being treated as terrorism and investigators are keeping an open mind on motive.
