Overview
- Deutsche Bahn will restrict access at Dresden Hauptbahnhof from Feb 14 at 12:00 to Feb 16 at 04:00 to build a new crossing structure and update the electronic interlocking, tracks, points and overhead lines.
- Most regional lines are shortened or rerouted with replacement buses, including S2 and S8 to Dresden-Mitte, S3/RE3/RB30 to Dresden-Plauen with bus links, Trilex trains cut between Dresden-Neustadt and the main station, and RE50 limited to Dresden-Mitte; authorities note some Trilex changes are not yet fully shown in DB planners.
- Long-distance traffic largely runs to plan, though some ICE and IC services start or end at Dresden-Neustadt, and international Berlin–Prague trains run through without stopping at Dresden-Neustadt; S1 largely keeps its schedule and listed night trains continue to serve the main station.
- A multi-hour full closure of Dresden Hauptbahnhof is scheduled overnight from Sunday to Monday during the same work window.
- From Feb 16 the Riesa–Oschatz–Dresden/Leipzig corridor gets timetable changes with targeted evening bus links, including Feb 21 evening cancellations between Borsdorf and Leipzig covered by DB replacement buses, while Berlin S‑Bahn riders face Friday-morning delays from signal repairs affecting several lines.
