DragonForce Names Alissa White-Gluz Its First Frontwoman

She joins alongside longtime singer Marc Hudson in a shared-vocal setup.

Overview

  • DragonForce, which announced the move Wednesday, added Canadian vocalist Alissa White-Gluz as its newest member and first female lead.
  • Her first shows come at Welcome To Rockville on May 9 and Sonic Temple on May 17, tied to the 20th anniversary of Inhuman Rampage, the 2006 album that spawned Through the Fire and Flames.
  • She will trade lead vocals with Marc Hudson, who has fronted the band since 2011 across five studio albums.
  • The band says a tenth studio album is in progress with White-Gluz and that extensive touring plans will be announced.
  • White-Gluz left Arch Enemy in November, launched the new band Blue Medusa this year, and previously guested on a 2024 alternate version of DragonForce’s Burning Heart.
