Dozens of Voters Recorded at Hollywood Money Manager’s Office, County Says

The county has opened a records review because the entries raise legal questions about whether a business mailing address was used in place of a voter’s legal domicile.

Overview

  • Los Angeles County officials confirmed that dozens of voter registrations list Suite 600 at 9200 Sunset Boulevard as the registrants’ residential address and say they are reviewing the records to check accuracy.
  • A Daily Mail analysis of voter-roll data tied 36 registrations at that suite to a mix of high-profile entertainers and other voters while the office’s occupant, financial manager Michael Ullman, says the space is used to receive clients’ mail and is not their home.
  • The registrar’s office says registrations were recorded as domiciles rather than merely mailing addresses and that applications are processed based on the voter’s sworn attestation, with mixed residential-commercial status in the building possibly complicating automated checks.
  • Election lawyers told reporters that listing a business address instead of a true residence can violate California law because registration forms are signed under penalty of perjury, and county data show 27 of the 36 listed at the suite voted in the 2024 general election.
  • No enforcement actions or prosecutions have been announced and the review could lead to simple record corrections or formal referrals, with possible effects on which local contests those voters were eligible to decide and ongoing privacy concerns for public figures.
