DOJ Reviewing Reported Gaps in Epstein Records Linked to Woman Who Also Alleged Trump Abuse

The department says it will republish any improperly tagged documents following public flags of missing materials.

Overview

  • NBC News reports that summaries from three of four 2019 FBI interviews with a South Carolina Epstein survivor are absent from both the public release and the unredacted set for Congress.
  • A DOJ evidence catalog lists interviews on July 24, Aug. 7, Aug. 20 and Oct. 16, 2019, yet only the July 24 summary appears in the posted files.
  • Rep. Robert Garcia says he inspected the unredacted collection at DOJ and could not find the listed interview memos, calling the absence a violation and alleging a cover-up.
  • DOJ states all responsive documents were produced or withheld under standard categories such as duplicates, privilege or ongoing investigations, and says it is reviewing flagged items for possible republication.
  • FBI materials from 2025 reference the allegation involving President Trump while noting many such tips lacked credibility or contact information, and the White House calls the claims unfounded and false.
