  • Charlie Barnes was called up hours before Wednesday’s game and threw seven innings (94 pitches), allowing 12 hits and seven earned runs before being optioned back to Triple-A.
  • The Dodgers recalled 26-year-old right-hander Paul Gervase immediately after that outing to provide fresh bullpen depth for the upcoming series against the San Diego Padres.
  • Gervase retains rookie status after a 2025 debut with the Rays and joins the club with strong Triple-A numbers this year, including a 3.60 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 35 strikeouts in 25 innings.
  • This was the third straight day the Dodgers called up a pitcher from Triple-A Oklahoma City as they use short-term promotions to absorb innings and rest regular relievers during a heavy 13-day stretch.
