Overview
- On Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026, Disney confirmed a July 1, 2027 opening for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge and released first images of guest rooms and Lake Houses.
- The property will be a 967‑unit Disney Vacation Club resort offering accommodations from two‑person Duo Studios to three‑bedroom Grand Villas and freestanding one‑ and two‑bed Lake Houses on the Bay Lake shore.
- Each room category draws on a different Disney animated film for its design, with Lake Houses themed to Brother Bear and other units inspired by Encanto, Bambi, Fantasia, and Pocahontas.
- Reservations will roll out in a three‑day window in early October 2026 with Disney Vacation Club members on Oct. 6, Annual Passholders on Oct. 7, and all guests on Oct. 8.
- Built on the former River Country site between Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge, Lakeshore Lodge is moving from structure work into themed fit‑out and will add waterfront dining, pools, a concierge lounge and rooms with Bay Lake and Magic Kingdom fireworks views while remaining bookable by non‑members.
