Overview
- Reservations for Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge opened to the general public on Thursday after earlier booking windows for Disney Vacation Club members and Annual Passholders, completing a phased rollout ahead of the resort’s July 1, 2027 opening.
- The property will offer 967 rooms across studios, multi‑bedroom villas and three‑bedroom grand villas plus new freestanding A‑frame Lake Houses that sit on Bay Lake and sleep five or eight guests.
- A major outdoor recreation area called The Wetlands will include a zero‑entry pool with a spiral waterslide, a lazy river, Pocahontas‑inspired children’s play areas and a leisure pool with Magic Kingdom fireworks views.
- The resort sits on the former River Country site between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness, will offer direct boat service to Magic Kingdom, and while it is part of Disney Vacation Club it will accept non‑DVC guests.
- The Lakeshore Lodge plan revives the stalled 2018 Reflections proposal and brings nearly 1,000 new rooms to Walt Disney World, which could ease summer crowding at nearby hotels and drive strong early demand for waterfront and Lake House bookings.
