Disney's Hollywood Studios Skyline Shifts As Installation Begins On Parkwide Overhaul

Fresh permits paired with visible cranes confirm installation is underway.

An Orange County permit from Walt Disney Imagineering lists Icarus Exhibits Inc. to install set elements for The Magic of Disney Animation at the former Animation Courtyard.
Animation Courtyard closed on September 25, 2025, and the new experience will include animation workshops, a short film, character meet-and-greets, and a play area, with the Sorcerer Mickey hat returning at its entrance.
Grand Avenue, including Muppet*Vision 3D and Mama Melrose’s, remains closed for a Monstropolis land featuring a suspended door‑vault roller coaster, with a large crane now visible from multiple areas of the park.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith takes its final run on March 1 ahead of a Muppets retheme that is expected to debut this summer.
Resort projects continue in parallel, with Magic Kingdom advancing its largest expansion yet and Animal Kingdom’s Tropical Americas targeting 2027 for Encanto and Indiana Jones experiences.
