Disneyland Paris Begins Sequoia Lodge Overhaul With Forest-Themed Rooms Featuring 'Bambi' and 'Brave'

Imagineers are validating full-scale model rooms ahead of phased work on the five outdoor lodges.

Overview

  • The renovation forms part of a multi-year upgrade of Disneyland Paris hotels that follows the overhauls of Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel and the Disneyland Hotel.
  • The first construction phase covers every guest room in the resort’s five standalone lodge buildings, with preparatory work already underway.
  • Walt Disney Imagineering Paris is using full-scale mockups to confirm materials and the artistic direction, according to artistic director Sophie Coudré.
  • The refreshed design emphasizes nature and wildlife with appearances by characters from Bambi and Pixar’s Brave.
  • Later phases will refurbish the remaining rooms as well as the lobby, shops, and dining venues, and the hotel will stay open throughout the project.
