Disneyland Announces 2026 Holiday Slate With New Character Looks and Santa Moves

The coordinated seasonal program is designed to boost attendance and spending by pairing returning shows and overlays with updated guest flow and paid experiences.

Overview

  • Disneyland Resort announced in late August that the holiday season will run from November 13, 2026 through January 6, 2027 and will cover both parks, the resort hotels, and Downtown Disney.
  • Mickey, Minnie and other characters will debut new holiday outfits in Town Square while Santa meet‑and‑greets move to Mickey’s Toontown Trolley Barn and Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, changing guest photo and queuing patterns.
  • Fan‑favorite overlays and nighttime spectaculars return, including Haunted Mansion Holiday with a 25th‑anniversary gingerbread element, it’s a small world Holiday, A Christmas Fantasy Parade and World of Color – Season of Light.
  • Disney California Adventure’s Festival of Holidays returns with six marketplaces and a Sip & Savor digital pass for food and nonalcoholic drinks, and the resort is offering holiday dining, parade/viewing packages and ticketed guided tours with booking details to follow on Disneyland.com.
  • Resort hotels will add seasonal décor and offers, including a Grand Californian gingerbread display and a limited‑time hotel discount with bookings opening September 22, 2026; one outlet’s report of a November 12 start date creates a small discrepancy against the official Nov. 13 messaging.
