Overview
- Disney, which published new designs Wednesday, introduced the Imagineer-designed Second Star Club as the social hub of Asteria and previewed a Peter Pan–inspired rental home called Lost Key Cottage.
- Planned club features include Aster Green for gatherings, The Studios with tools like laser engravers and fabric printers, a Wellness Center, Marquet Hall restaurant, the Piedmont Proper event pavilion, two pools, a playground, and tennis and pickleball courts.
- Membership in the private club will be mandatory for residents and subject to approval, dues and recorded covenants, with some offerings like Lost Key Cottage rentals carrying additional fees and limited availability.
- Asteria is planned for about 4,000 homes across single-family and multi-family options, with a 55+ space called Longtable Lodge; an initial release of roughly 300 sites precedes sales targeted for 2027 and first move-ins in fall 2028.
- Disney will brand and manage amenities while DMB Development leads the project and third-party builders sell the homes, as executives stress a quieter, regionally rooted design and locals raise early questions about branding and environmental impacts.
