Disney to Debut Interactive Ewok at Droid Depot on Aug. 13

This touch-activated companion creates staged customization moments that encourage repeat purchases.

Overview

  • The Ewok will go on sale at Droid Depot inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park starting Aug. 13, 2026, Disney confirmed on Friday.
  • The figure uses LCD eyes, motorized facial movements and a range of sounds to respond to taps, with three quick head taps unlocking two named animations called Endor Dance Party and Forest Call Chain.
  • The Ewok can interact with astromech droids built at Droid Depot and nearby Batuu Adventure Buddies to produce group responses and synchronized animations.
  • Guests can buy three optional themed gear packs that attach to the Ewok’s left hand and trigger unique animations and sounds; the packs are Endor (spear, horn, grilled fish, poncho), Mandalore (Mythosaur axe, nummies, Beskar chest armor, cape) and Batuu (YT-1300 model, all-kit tool, Ronto wrap, poncho).
  • Purchases happen at a dedicated wall bay where a Cast Member guides selection and leads a first-use activation moment; Disney has not released pricing and says two more Batuu Adventure Buddies will arrive later at Disneyland before the full set appears at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
