Overview
- Disney and ABC announced on Monday that “Disney Celebrates America: Nashville’s Star-Spangled Bash” will air live coast-to-coast on Saturday, July 4, from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Eastern.
- Ryan Seacrest will host the three-hour special and a backstage correspondent and man-on-the-street reporter were named to provide behind-the-scenes and crowd coverage.
- The program’s roster includes cross-genre performers such as Reba McEntire, Nick Jonas, Tim McGraw, Boyz II Men, NE-YO, Little Big Town, Sublime, and others.
- Organizers say the live show will feature one of the country’s largest synchronized fireworks and drone displays scored by the Nashville Symphony and will include live cutaways to Disneyland Resort fireworks.
- The Nashville special anchors a broader Disney Celebrates America initiative that begins the evening of July 3 with a 24-hour, cross-platform broadcast and linked park experiences, a rollout that city planners and residents are watching because of the hundreds of thousands expected on-site.
