Disney Taps Air Canada to Offer Aeroplan-Only VIP Viewing for EPCOT’s ‘Luminous’

Air Canada’s loyalty points will control access to a 25-person viewing area, signaling Disney’s shift toward small, sponsor-backed perks inside the parks.

Overview

  • Aeroplan members gained a new perk Thursday as Disney announced a private fireworks viewing option at EPCOT starting May 9 on select Saturdays through January 9, 2027.
  • Members can redeem 1,000 Aeroplan points for access to the China Overlook, a lagoon-side spot capped at 25 guests that is standing-room only and wheelchair accessible.
  • Bookings must be made at least 15 business days in advance, with a VIP access code emailed after redemption for check-in with photo ID about 10 to 15 minutes before showtime.
  • The viewing access does not include EPCOT admission, may require a park reservation depending on ticket type, cannot be transferred or changed, and refunds points if the show is canceled.
  • Disney also announced La Poutinerie, an Air Canada–hosted quick-service replacing the former Refreshment Port near the Canada pavilion, underscoring a broader move to layered sponsor experiences.
