Overview
- Walt Disney World published a phased schedule that begins Aug. 17 and runs through early November for renovations at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village.
- The Kidani Village main lobby and primary entrance will be closed from Aug. 17 to Oct. 9, with guest check‑in moved to the Palace Library during that period.
- Johari Treasures, the Kidani Village gift shop, is set to close for refurbishment from Aug. 17 through Aug. 28 and is scheduled to reopen on Aug. 29.
- Additional phased closures will affect the north lobby corridor (Sept. 28–Oct. 9) and the south lobby corridor (Oct. 26–Nov. 6), disrupting elevators, the arcade, laundry, restrooms and the outdoor terrace at different times.
- Disney cautions guests they may see or hear daytime construction noise and has not disclosed full scope of the work or whether Johari merchandise will be relocated, so visitors should check the My Disney Experience app or the resort website for updates.
