Disney Says Cinderella Castle Repaint Nears Completion

Disney signals the final phase through a focus on moat restoration.

Overview

  • Disney Parks, which posted official photos Tuesday, said the Cinderella Castle project is “almost complete.”
  • Reporting and Disney’s images indicate painting is finished, with cleanup and refilling of the drained moat still to come and no firm completion date beyond 2026.
  • The refresh returns the classic palette with soft gray stone, cream tones, deep blue rooftops, and gold accents.
  • The effort was announced at Destination D23 in August 2025 and work on site began in January 2026.
  • Disney used automotive-grade paint on rooftops and spires and lower-sheen finishes on stone to control glare and keep the surfaces reading true in sunlight.
