• This week Disney crews began repainting and refurbishing the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage at Magic Kingdom as a finishing touch to the castle overhaul.
• The work is cosmetic only with no signs of structural changes, focusing on paint and surface repairs so the stage matches the castle’s softer gray, cream, blue and gold palette.
• Earlier this year Disney drained the castle moat, used cranes and scaffolding to repaint the main structure, and refilled the waterway in early June to restore the landmark’s reflection.
• Guests have seen little disruption because Central Plaza walkways remain open and the castle continues to serve as the backdrop for daytime shows and the Happily Ever After nighttime spectacular.
• The stage has long hosted daily character performances and seasonal shows, so routine upkeep both preserves the look of the castle complex and helps keep live entertainment running smoothly.
