Overview
- The Village Green at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn reopened with new synthetic turf after work finished early, a development reported Tuesday that returns the resort courtyard to regular use.
- Disney closed the Village Green on August 10 for the turf replacement and had originally planned to keep the space closed through September 4 before the job was completed ahead of schedule.
- During the closure, resort activities normally held on the lawn, including Movie Under the Stars, outdoor yoga, and crafts, were moved to other locations on property and can now resume at the courtyard.
- The turf replacement is one element of a larger, phased BoardWalk Inn and Villas refurbishment that continues through late 2026, with a planned January 11–April 2027 closure of the Luna Park Pool, Luna Park Crazy Play Area, and Leaping Horse Libations.
- Guests affected by the 2027 pool-area work will still have swim options because Disney plans to keep the Villas Pool and Inn Pool open while the Luna Park area is closed, and visitors should expect more staged maintenance across the resort through the refurbishment period.
