Disney Removes Allergy Checkboxes From Disney World and Disneyland Dining Reservations

Reservation pages now display a dietary notice directing guests to alert their server and consult special-diets staff for guidance.

Overview

  • Both the My Disney Experience and Disneyland apps, as well as the Walt Disney World website, no longer offer a list of selectable allergens during booking.
  • Previously available options included common allergens such as egg, fish, milk, peanut, shellfish, soy, tree nut, wheat/gluten, sesame, and other.
  • The Dietary Requests section now presents a standard message stating guests must notify their server and that Disney cannot guarantee any item is completely free of allergens.
  • Disney advises guests to ask for special-diets–trained personnel upon arrival and continues to provide advance assistance via Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com and Special.Diets@Disneyland.com.
  • Reports note the allergy field is also absent when editing or checking in to reservations, and servers have traditionally confirmed dietary needs at the table.
