- Reporters and Disney cast members documented the new gate assignments on Monday after the nearby roadway work, with Contemporary and Polynesian sharing Gate 4, Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge sharing Gate 8, and Grand Floridian using a dedicated Gate 6 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
- The gate changes follow the opening of the newly constructed Floridian Way and the permanent July closure of the Seven Seas Drive/Floridian Way intersection, which altered traffic flow around the Magic Kingdom Resort area.
- Disney cast members told outlets the route consolidations are permanent and were made so buses can follow the revised road layout more efficiently when picking up and dropping off guests.
- The same consolidated pairings that were observed at Hollywood Studios have been applied at all four theme parks—Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom—so guests should expect different pickup and drop patterns than before.
- Guests should check official park signage or the Disney app before travel because rides to some resorts may now include an extra stop and different boarding order, reversing several prior pairings such as Grand Floridian previously sharing with Polynesian.
