- At D23 on Aug. 15–16, 2026 Disney officially unveiled Piston Peak National Park and named its two attractions: Cars Ridge Run Rally and Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin‑Along.
- Imagineering described Cars Ridge Run Rally as an off‑road, E‑ticket race that climbs to a snowy summit, plunges a camelback descent, navigates a geyser field and finishes with Lightning McQueen and Mater appearing live on the Racing Sports Network.
- Disney said the Ridge Run Rally will use a new ride vehicle that physically reacts to terrain so guests can feel bumps, drops and rock impacts rather than simulating them.
- Miss Fritter’s Daredevil Spin‑Along will be a family spinning flat ride framed around a large, school‑bus‑sized Miss Fritter audio‑animatronic that hosts a demolition‑derby style show.
- Imagineering released a construction update showing underground utilities, grading, retaining walls and early framing at Magic Kingdom as Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island have closed to make room for Piston Peak while D23 also confirmed other park projects with phased openings in 2027 and beyond.
