Disney May Reinstate Disney Springs Bus Depot Checks for Fourth of July Weekend

Expanded holiday programming and heavier crowds are increasing pressure on the resort’s transport network and could prompt a short-term return of the depot reservation checks.

Overview

  • In April 2026 Disney placed partitions at the Disney Springs bus depot and required guests to show hotel or dining reservations before boarding hotel buses, a measure that stayed in place for about one week.
  • Cast members told reporters the restriction could be reintroduced during other busy periods, and coverage now highlights the Fourth of July as a likely trigger because of heightened guest volumes.
  • Disney has not officially confirmed any return of the partitions and none have been observed at the depot since the April Easter period ended.
  • This year’s July schedule includes three consecutive nights of Celebrate America fireworks at Magic Kingdom, Extended Evening Hours for Deluxe guests, and other changes that will raise demand on buses and other transport links.
  • If checks reappear, guests without reservations can still reach hotels by ferry from EPCOT, walking the BoardWalk, using the TTC and monorail, or taking buses from the four theme parks, and booking a Disney Springs dining reservation generally qualifies as access at the depot.
