Overview
- Disney selected ten performers for its first nationwide Voice Talent Search after a multi-stage review of more than 7,500 submissions.
- The winning participants are Bennett Morgan, Daniel Zamora, Kai An Chee, Kristina Mueller, Luke Alphonso, Mark Douglas S., Nadia Vazquez, Neptune of Earth, Parker Paige, and Varyssa Henderson.
- Each winner will attend a free, weeklong workshop at Disney Television Animation that will culminate in the creation of an 11-minute short intended to debut on Disney Channel, Disney Jr., Disney+, or other Disney platforms.
- Participants will receive hands-on coaching in voice performance, character development, and collaborative storytelling from Disney casting and creative executives, and Disney has made clear the program does not guarantee future employment.
- The initiative, launched under the division now called Disney Kids & Family, is intended as a development pipeline to cultivate diverse, early-career animation voice talent and to let executives experiment with short-form storytelling.
