Disney Honors Bob Iger With Main Street Window at Disneyland

The tribute formally recognizes Iger’s role in major studio deals, global parks growth and the launch of Disney+ during D23’s Disney Legends ceremony.

Overview

  • On Sunday Disneyland installed and dedicated a personalized window above the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A., honoring former CEO Bob Iger.
  • The window names him “Robert A. Iger, Chief Architect” of the fictional “New Century Builders” and bears the motto “Looking Forward to Your Tomorrow.”
  • The unveiling coincided with Iger’s induction as a Disney Legend and included his remarks, a Dapper Dans performance and a public tribute from CEO Josh D’Amaro.
  • Main Street windows are a historic Disneyland tradition that use fictional storefront signage to honor real executives, Imagineers and other contributors and are considered a high park honor.
  • Iger stepped down as CEO in March 2026, serves now as a senior advisor and board member with a planned retirement at the end of 2026, and the window highlights his tenure that included major acquisitions, Shanghai Disney Resort and the launch of Disney+.
