Disney Details Soarin’ Across America as Cast Previews Begin at EPCOT

The U.S.-focused film features a fresh score alongside a National Geographic queue for Disney’s America 250.

Overview

  • Soarin’ Around the World, which closed Wednesday at EPCOT, gives way to cast previews now, Annual Passholder previews on May 19–20, a public opening on May 26, and a Disneyland rollout on July 2.
  • Disney released a first look at the flight path with confirmed U.S. scenes such as the New England coastline, New York Harbor and Grand Canyon West, while images point to Mount Rushmore, Portland Head Light and Honolulu.
  • Composer Bruce Broughton arranged new music based on Jerry Goldsmith’s themes to score the film, with motion, wind effects and signature scents kept in place.
  • EPCOT’s queue adds the Soarin’ Challenge Across America, an interactive trivia game built with National Geographic that uses facts and photography from its archives.
  • The Land pavilion now sports patriotic decor and updated signage for the limited-time overlay, which has no announced end date.
