Overview
- Walt Disney Imagineering unveiled Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab at D23 on Sunday, Aug 16, 2026, and said both attractions are targeting a 2028 opening window.
- Avengers Infinity Defense will cast guests as new recruits who board vehicles called Infinity Transports to travel to Asgard, Wakanda, New York City and other worlds to help stop a variant known as King Thanos.
- The expansion confirmed several MCU actors will reprise roles for park scenes, including Iman Vellani, Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Chris Hemsworth and Robert Downey Jr., with filmed performances integrated into the attractions.
- Stark Flight Lab will use two-person gyro-kinetic pods that roll on a track and connect to a large robotic arm to simulate high-speed, Iron Man–style flight maneuvers in a Tony Stark training environment.
- Imagineering said the rides will mix large practical sets with perspective‑responsive media and advanced vehicle motion, a hybrid approach Imagineers say could change how themed attractions deliver immersive, narrative experiences and influence Disney’s global Marvel builds in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
