Overview
- The FriendShip boat dock serving Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Beach Club Resort closed for maintenance on Monday and is scheduled to remain shut through Friday, August 21.
- During the shutdown Disney is running direct buses to Disney’s Hollywood Studios from both resorts and points to walking to EPCOT’s International Gateway as the quickest alternative.
- Guests can also walk to the BoardWalk boat dock to catch FriendShip boats from there or use the Disney Skyliner with transfers to reach Hollywood Studios.
- The loss of the on-site boat will hit families with young children, guests with strollers and anyone traveling in August heat hardest because walking or transfers can be slower and more uncomfortable.
- The brief maintenance comes while multiple resort projects are changing transport patterns across Walt Disney World, so the closure could compound other short-term mobility delays for affected visitors.
