Disney Adventure World Opens With Frozen Frenzy, Tight Entry Rules

Crushing demand is forcing stricter access controls.

Overview

  • Disney Adventure World’s public debut Sunday, part of a $2.18 billion resort overhaul, saw World of Frozen’s digital standby passes sell out by late morning and guests turned away at capacity.
  • Disneyland Paris posted an official notice warning that entry to World of Frozen and the Frozen Ever After ride is not guaranteed, with a dedicated queue at the land’s entrance.
  • Operations were tightened with a nightly 8:00–11:00 p.m. closure of the rotating Pont des Lumières bridge and new signage that stops re-entry from that exit.
  • Crowds concentrated on Frozen Ever After, the land’s only major ride, pushing standby waits to about 180 minutes and driving longer lines across the rest of the park.
  • Opening‑week photos showed Arendelle’s water features looking green, a widely noted aesthetic issue that Disney has not publicly explained.
