Overview
- Vy, DSB and Deutsche Bahn announced a cooperative plan to relaunch a direct Oslo–Berlin line starting in summer 2028 with two round trips each day.
- The operators estimate about seven hours from Oslo to Copenhagen and roughly 15 hours for the full journey to Berlin.
- The planned route runs via Gothenburg, Malmö, Copenhagen and Hamburg, with additional stops such as Moss, Fredrikstad, Sarpsborg, Halden, Trollhättan, Lund, Odense, Kolding and Padborg.
- Deutsche Bahn will use its ICE L long‑distance trains on the route, which include a restaurant car and a family section.
- Ticket prices and exact timetables have not been released and will be announced closer to the launch.
