DinoLand U.S.A. Remnant Still Serving Guests at Animal Kingdom After Closure

The Dino Institute–branded snack cart remains open near a shuttered entrance during the Tropical Americas buildout.

Overview

  • A snack cart bearing the Dino Institute logo continues operating weeks after the land’s early February closure at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
  • The kiosk sits by a closed entrance and sells pre-packaged frozen treats such as Mickey ice cream bars along with bottled Coca-Cola beverages.
  • DinoLand U.S.A. shut down in phases starting in January 2025, with Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama closing first and the Boneyard following in September 2025.
  • Pueblo Esperanza will replace the area as a Tropical Americas land featuring Encanto-inspired attractions, including an animal carousel and a Casita experience, plus an Indiana Jones attraction using the former DINOSAUR ride system.
  • Disney is targeting a 2027 completion window for Pueblo Esperanza but has not announced an opening date or when the Dino Institute cart will be removed or rethemed.
