Overview
- Digital Bros, parent of 505 Games, disclosed Tuesday it acquired all intellectual property rights to Wuchang: Fallen Feathers for RMB 32 million (about €4 million) using existing credit lines.
- Full ownership ends any royalty payments to Leenzee and puts all future decisions and all revenue from the game under Digital Bros.
- The Soulslike launched in July 2025 and, per the company, topped Steam’s Global Top Sellers near release, drew over 130,000 concurrent players at launch, sold more than 1 million copies, and generated over €30 million by March 31, 2026.
- Chinese media reports describe Leenzee’s core team as dissolved with layoffs, halted pay, and employee legal action, which left the game’s future unclear before the sale.
- Digital Bros has not named which studio will handle new work or when, says the deal supports its push to own more IP, and does not expect a material impact on its current fiscal outlook.
