Digimon Story: Time Stranger Launches on Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

A cross-platform patch adds a playable Terriermon Assistant, Photo Mode, fixes Digifarm training and mission progression bugs, schedules weekly DLC starting July 16.

Overview

  • The game expanded to Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 with the release on Friday, July 10, 2026, joining earlier PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions.
  • A free pre-launch update was deployed across platforms and, per official notes, fixed a Digifarm training timer that could stall at 999:59 and a mission progression bug in “The God of Speed’s Wish.”
  • The same update added Photo Mode, a Digifarm Digivolution Conditions screen, and made Terriermon Assistant playable through a Mode Change option.
  • The Switch 2 build offers selectable Graphics Modes — Quality (4K HDR up to 30 FPS) or Performance (1080p up to 60 FPS) — and early hands-on coverage finds Performance mode delivers the most stable play with occasional frame drops in busy scenes.
  • A Season Pass is available and three DLC packs will release weekly for Season Pass holders and standalone buyers on July 16, July 23, and July 30, 2026, while an unconfirmed report notes the Steam update may have removed Denuvo from the PC build.
