Detroit SportsNet Locks Xfinity, Spectrum and DirecTV Deals for Tigers Debut

Fans can stream in-market games for $19.99 a month through the Tigers’ site.

  • Detroit SportsNet will launch for Tigers broadcasts with carriage on Xfinity (Channel 1253), Spectrum (Channel 213 in many Michigan markets with 291 in Livonia and 307 or 1307 in select nearby markets, plus 436 in the Spectrum app), and DirecTV (Channel 663).
  • The Tigers and MLB announced initial distribution deals and said remaining providers and exact channel slots will be named before the season opener.
  • In-market viewers without cable can watch via Tigers.com/DetroitSportsNet for $19.99 per month or $189.99 per year.
  • MLB Media will run distribution and production for the new channel, while the current Tigers and Red Wings broadcast teams remain in place.
  • FanDuel Sports Network Detroit’s parent, Main Street Sports Group, is reported to wind down after the NHL and NBA seasons as the teams move to DSN.
