- Officials described the suspect as a man about 40 to 50 years old, roughly 5-foot-8 to 6-foot-3, with short hair, wearing a blue jacket and brown pants.
- On June 18 authorities publicly released the surveillance video, offered a $1,000 reward and asked people to submit tips through two arson-unit phone lines, Rewards TV, Crime Stoppers, or arsontips@detroitmi.gov.
- No arrests have been reported and the ongoing investigation hinges on public leads from the released footage to identify and charge the person captured on video.
