Detroit Man Charged With Felony Animal Torture After Dog Found Emaciated in Cold

Prosecutors say he faces up to seven years if convicted of the second-degree charge.

  • Following an investigation, authorities arrested Darnell Lamar Robinson, 54, on Feb. 2.
  • Wayne County prosecutors charged Robinson with second-degree killing or torturing of an animal, a felony, plus a misdemeanor count of abandoning and cruelty to an animal.
  • Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy condemned the alleged conduct, and an arraignment was expected Wednesday.
