- Toby Fox confirmed during the June 9 Nintendo Direct that Deltarune Chapter 5 will launch worldwide on June 24, 2026.
- Chapter 5 will be provided as a free update to existing Deltarune owners on Nintendo Switch (including Switch 2), PlayStation 4 and 5, and PC.
- The Nintendo Direct trailer previews combat with Kris, Susie and Ralsei plus temple and minigame sequences while deliberately avoiding major spoilers.
- In a contemporaneous newsletter Fox wrote that Chapter 6 is “developing well,” citing concrete progress on cutscenes, overworld gimmicks, normal enemies and boss bullet patterns.
- Fox also said some staff may begin work on Chapter 7 before the end of 2026, a move that could shorten the long waits between instalments if the current pace holds.
