Delta Adds MSP–Maui and Revives BostonHonolulu for Winter 2026–27 Hawaii Expansion

The carrier is targeting peak winter demand with widebody service to strengthen its long‑haul leisure network.

Overview

  • New Minneapolis–St. Paul to Maui service and the return of Boston to Honolulu both begin Dec. 19, 2026, as part of Delta’s most robust seasonal Hawaii schedule to date.
  • MSP–Maui will run daily during peak holiday and spring break periods and five times weekly in the core winter; BOSHonolulu will be daily in late December then four times weekly for the season, both on Airbus A330-300s.
  • JFKHonolulu increases to daily service on April 1, 2026 with Boeing 767-300s, and DetroitHonolulu goes daily starting Nov. 9, 2026 on A330-300s.
  • Salt Lake CityKona begins daily Nov. 9, 2026 on 767-300s, Los AngelesKona is upgauged to 767-300s for winter, and AtlantaHonolulu adds a three-times-weekly second frequency from Jan. 4 through March 2027.
  • Delta highlights four-cabin A330-300 service with Delta One, Premium Select, Comfort+ and Main, plus curated dining, Delta Studio entertainment and free Delta Sync Wi‑Fi, with local officials saying MSP–Maui tickets go on sale Saturday.
