Delhi Private Schools Release Second Nursery Merit Lists, With Final Confirmations Due March 5

A total of 1,741 private schools posted their second selection and waiting lists for 2026–27 nursery admissions.
Parents of shortlisted children have been directed to visit schools from February 10 to 16 to finalize paperwork, with officials cautioning that delays may forfeit seats.
Several institutions reported large shortlists, including Sovereign School, Rohini (409), Gita Ratan (136), St George’s, Alaknanda (155), Loreto Convent, Delhi Cantonment (11), DPS East of Kailash (14 offers, 132 waiting) and Apeejay, Saket (150 confirmed, 176 standby).
Admissions are based on a points system weighing proximity, sibling preference and alumni status, with applicant details published January 9 and scores released by January 16.
DoE rules restrict fees to a ₹25 non-refundable registration charge, ban capitation fees, require any draws to be video recorded in parents’ presence, and set the final list for March 5 with the process closing on March 19.
