Overview
- Two men identified as Haqeeqat (also called Hakikat/Sahil) and Sagar were intercepted by the Delhi Police Special Cell in Paschim Vihar on Thursday and sustained bullet wounds to their legs after an exchange of fire during which officers recovered weapons and a motorcycle.
- Those arrests complete custody of four accused in the June 11 firing outside the Pushkar Enclave gym linked to singer Guru Randhawa after earlier Crime Branch arrests of Arman and Tushar in Bahadurgarh and Sonipat.
- Police say the four suspects are operatives of the Lawrence Bishnoi syndicate acting on directions from absconding handlers, notably Anil Pandit and Hariram Jat, who are believed to be based overseas.
- Forensics teams seized a Pakistan-made TT 30–style .30-bore pistol that police say matches the type used in the June 11 attack and note such foreign-made weapons are often smuggled into India for targeted crimes.
- Investigations will focus on verifying the social-media/audio claim of responsibility, tracing the handlers’ network abroad, testing the seized firearms and determining whether the suspects planned further attacks or were lured with payments.
