Delhi Police Arrest 24-Year-Old in Lahori Gate Hotel Killing

Police cite his claim of marriage pressure as the suspected motive, with forensic confirmation pending.

  • Abhishek Tiwari, 24, a Delhi University School of Open Learning student from Shahdara, was arrested a day after a 25-year-old Maujpur resident was found dead in a Lahori Gate hotel room.
  • Investigators say CCTV and hotel records show the two checked in around noon on March 11 and the man left about 5 pm after locking the room from outside.
  • Crime Team and FSL documented blood on the bed and on nearby clothes and collected samples, and police registered a murder case under Section 103 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
