Delhi Metro to Start at 3 AM on Republic Day as Namo Bharat Tightens Security
Officials urge commuters to allow extra time because security checks will be stricter.
Overview
- Services on all Delhi Metro lines will begin at 3 am on January 26 to ease travel to Kartavya Path.
- Trains will run every 15 minutes from 3 am to 6 am before reverting to the regular timetable.
- Parking at Delhi Metro stations will remain available throughout Republic Day.
- The NCRTC will conduct enhanced security checks at all Namo Bharat stations on the Delhi–Ghaziabad–Meerut corridor.
- Parking at New Ashok Nagar and Anand Vihar Namo Bharat stations will be closed from 2 pm on January 25 to 2 pm on January 26, and passengers have been advised to plan for possible delays.
